Hello and welcome to Psoriasis Talk. I am Gina Tuttle. What is new in psoriasis treatment?

We know that psoriasis medications, in the past, only treated the surface of the skin. Research has shown psoriasis is not just a skin disease, but an immune system disorder as well. Now, there are medications that are more targeted to your immune system, such as biologics, which are showing much promise. Will these treatments work for your psoriasis?

Today, we are going to give you an update on current psoriasis therapies, and what is in the treatment pipeline. I am happy to have with us today my co-host, Dr. Jerry Bagel, the director of the Psoriasis Treatment Center of Central New Jersey.
