Hunger is more than having an empty stomach. Hunger means not getting the necessary daily nutrition to lead a fully active, productive and healthy life. More than 300 million children are undernourished in todays world. These children are more likely to contract diseases and infections, and can suffer severe damage to their mental and physical development that is irreparable.
